Highcon is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and manage the Engineering team for the successful introduction of new products from concept to production and manage all engineering aspects in operations.
In your role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, R&D, customer support, manufacturing, planning, procurement, and supply chain management.
Job Brief
- Team Management
- Managing engineering and quality team within the operations
- Build a strong engineering & quality department by defining the scope, staff recruiting, and implementing business processes and interfaces
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities to the engineering team members
- Project Management
- Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and deliverables to meet targets and commitments
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all engineering team activities
- Supplier Management
- Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure seamless operations and equipment reliability
- Collaborate with suppliers’ engineering assuring continuous improvements in product quality, and up-to-date configuration control
- New Product Introduction
- Manage NPI process for an effective R&D to operations transfer and operations readiness
- Develop and implement robust NPI processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure production readiness and efficient and high-quality product launches
- Technical Expertise
- Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and supply chain risks throughout the NPI process
- Resolve systemic quality issues within production floor and in the supply chain
- conduct design reviews, process qualifications, and validations to ensure product quality and manufacturability
- Manage Highcon products configuration control
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Lead DFMs processes
What we are looking for:
- BSC in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering – mandatory
- 10+ years of experience in equipment multidisciplinary Engineering- mandatory
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a team of 3-5 employees- mandatory
- Experience with quality management – mandatory
- Experience working with SolidWorks, PDM, Priority (ERP) – Mandatory
- Experience with regulation processes – an advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with budget management, people management, and task control
- Experience in building a new team, defining vision, roles, and responsibilities
