This holiday season, Highcon customers have elevated festive packaging with creative, innovative solutions. From intricate lanterns to unique beverage displays and Advent calendars, these projects demonstrate the benefits of digital die-cutting for short-run holiday campaigns. Some of these remarkable efforts have even earned prestigious awards.
Let’s explore some of this year’s most inspiring projects:

Schumacher: Award-Winning Display

Schumacher Packaging & Display earned the Display Superstar Award 2024 in Mainz, Germany, for their stunning Christmas 3D candle arch designed by Astrix van’t Ende. Inspired by traditional German Saxon candle arches, this table display merges environmental awareness, creativity, and innovation.

Using Highcon’s digital die-cutting system, Schumacher achieved:
• Unmatched design freedom with intricate details.
• Cost and material savings by eliminating traditional dies.
• Flexibility for short production runs without minimum order quantities.

This display, produced at Schumacher’s Breda, Netherlands plant, features digitally printed wood textures and integrated LED-lit arches, allowing users to toggle between “Winter Wonderland” and “Santa with His Sleigh” scenes. A mini Stollen in the base adds a delightful surprise. The annual Superstar Awards, presented by Display, a German magazine specializing in POS topics, celebrate outstanding sales promotion and product presentation solutions based on design, technical execution, innovation, and functionality.
